Veszprém is going to be amazing!

Anyukám és családom,

Wow your lives are awesome! Life is great when it is busy. That is one great thing about my time here so far with Bowen elder, we are busy. Veszprém is going to be my favorite place. We have two real investigators and an RCLA to meet with and lots of time to do things, but the thing is I have an amazing companion now. I knew it was so when I got into the train with him and he told us all that in Veszprém, we are going to be 100% obedient.Yes! It has been so wonderful to feel the blessings from God already. He may be the best companion I get all mission. He is a lot like me, but taller, he has fun, but he knows how to work. I am going to learn a lot from him. We are going to do a lot of good here in Veszprém. It is going to be hard, but with my God, we are going to do miracles.

Here's a story. This was a good welcoming to me from Veszprém. The day after transfers, so Thursday, we were out tracting. We ring this one house and the man immediately said, "kimegyek". We were weirded out. People don't usually come out to say hi. Well he came out, was really welcoming and invited us in. We were excited until he said, "I am Muslim." Dah dah dah, we were in trouble. Lo and behold when we got in all the guy wanted to talk about were Muslims, The Coran, and about Muhammad. My goodness it was annoying, but I was very patient as this man tried to convert me with obvious false doctrine. It's awesome when you can recognize that because you've done your studying. Anyway I just let him talk, and I had him explain everything and I learned a lot. Once he was winded I then asked if we could have a turn to teach. I opened immediately to Moroni 10:3-5 and would not let him interrupt me until I had born pure, true doctrine testimony of the spirit and how I had received a personal witness from the spirit, not from some facts about whatever. Then Bowen elder took over and went through the entire Restoration and the story and then bore his testimony. The man was speechless for a few seconds as he tried to rekindle his faith in Muhammad. he then began to repeat himself and contradict himself. At that point we respectfully said we needed to go and thanked him for the info and we left. It was such a testimony builder that my testimony is built from a true relationship from God, not from facts. We truly hold the authority in this church.

Other cool story is this guy we visited the other day. He is 80 years old and we returned because we had given him a BOM earlier. Well he let us into his home. this is the cool part. As we went to the backside of this house we realized he was pretty poor, and it became more obvious as we entered his home. First thing we saw after climbing a two step porch was a little bathroom on the left and the kitchen on the right that was soon to be where we taught him. As we entered the kitchen this is what I saw. One light bulb just hanging on the wall from an outlet. The one from the ceiling was broken. A small stove by the door that was cooking his potatoes, an ancient radio playing old music, his counters filled with clutter, two chairs whose cushions had been fixed with rope, shoe soles and rages. There was also black molds within the walls. From the kitchen was a pitch dark room in which we never ventured into and to the right was a smaller closet. In this kitchen we taught this kind, slightly crazy, loving, understanding, poor, hurt man. We taught this man around that light bulb. Our first 20 minutes of teaching this man was trying to relocate that light bulb on the wall into the middle of us because [he] was worried about us reading in the dark. So huddled around this light bulb like a campfire in an environment of poverty, teaching a man in great need for God's love, I had the greatest spiritual moment of my life. We taught him of the Restoration and prayer and helped him feel some love. We are planning a lot of service for this man, and we are hoping to teach him a lot. He will be a little slower, but we feel we were sent to make this man's life a little better. I am so grateful I came and left my life into one of service. I could never have experienced this if I stayed at home. I am definitely where I am supposed to be.

I know through prayer we can receive all the blessings from blessing. I am happy I have such a great relationship with God, I know he lives and he has put his gospel on earth so we can know of him. We are such blessed people. I love you all.

And enjoy your Christmas in celebrating our Savior and Redeemer.
