The mom cried

Anyukám és családom,

Just so I don't forget, next week will be transfers, so my P-day will be next Tuesday. Therefore I will not be able to write you until next Tuesday.

First crazy thing about this week would have to be the weather. We got crazy snow. That that ton fell, but what happened was the wind was so bad, it would pick up all the snow and put in one spot in huge drifts, some reached 6 ft high. Why is this a problem? Well this happened on a ton of Freeways and there was a ton of chaos as a random hill of 6 feet high snow would appear right on the road because of the snow. Basically it was just really bad.

We got a new ligit investigator that we tracted. She is in her 60's, but she was just really interesting, because she was actually all there mentally, and she began by telling us how she has sat in front of catholic priests and denied them, because she didn't agree with any of them. Said she hated religion, but was willing to meet with us, because we seemed different, and we were really nice. We said, "Great!" and then we taught her the Restoration, and about prayer. She committed herself to read the BOM, to pray, and to come to church, because she actually loved it all! It is amazing how things just make more sense when it is the truth and it really comes from God.

We got another bap date! His name is Tomi, and he is super cool. I streeted him last transfer, and he was super interested in the Plan of Salvation, so i got him to meet with us, and now he prays and reads every day, and now he wants to be baptized April 27th. We are pretty happy.

Other thing, yes, Dávid got baptized this last Saturday, it was pretty awesome. The entire family came, the mom cried, and I got to stand in the font with him, say the words (in Hungarian) and baptize the kid. It was cool. The spirit was really strong, and it was a good step for the branch and for Dávid. Now we are working with him and his brother to get the priesthood. It is amazing to see the progress in people, especially when you have seen them from the very beginning.

Outside of strict missionary work. This morning, we all went to the Balaton. It is a really big lake in Hungary. Super touristy. It isn't allowed to go there for half the year, so we decided to hurry and go before transfers, so we can say we went. It was big, a lake, and, yeah. Super exciting right? At least now we can say we went.
Well my fam. I am really enjoying my time as a missionary. I learn more and more about my savior everyday. I encourage you all to learn more about him. It'll change your life. I know what i am doing may be weird to the world, but it is truly what God wants, and what I need. I am being super blessed, and it is probably because of all your prayers. Thank you for continuing to think of me, and to pray for me. They are truly helping me.

Sok szeretettel

Decker elder.

PS, Mom, I will be celebrating your B-day in Budapest. We have a zone conference on that day. It will be a good day :)
