Last week on Thursday at 7:00 pm we decided to look up a
lady in a 10 story. Upon entering the building, a lady tried coming in as well
and tried to shut the door on this guy. Elder Ábrók being the stud he is, he
asked the lady if she wanted some help. She said, "Yes, I would like to go
home without this man." We became instant bodyguards. This woman was
probably in her 50's and the man as well. The man was a taller fellow with long
hair and he was a little bigger. Yes, we had to protect against him. Oh, also
the guy was totally drunk. So we began escorting the lady, and tried to explain
to this man that he could not come with us. So we got to the elevator and told
him there was no room and we began going to the 4th floor to her apartment.
When we got to the door, this man had ran up all the stairs and met us at the
door. We tried to tell him that we had a program with the lady and he had to
come back later. He would not. So we all got back into the elevator and went
back to the entrance. As we did this we explained to this guy that we
represented Christ and we have a message to give, etc. Well we got to the
entrance and by this time we had gotten into a conversation with this man
enough to distract him that the woman could get away. As we were talking the
guy starts getting heated up. We tried to keep explaining things about the
gospel, and he got a little fed up and he grabbed my head with both of his
hands and pulled it next to his, and asked if I could hear Christ. He let go of
my head so that he could pull up his shirt to show that Christ is in his heart.
He was crazy. So we gave him a Plan of Salvation pamphlet, left him and went
upstairs to look up a potential investigator. While there, we heard the guy
knocking on the lady's door trying to get in. So we called the cops, they came,
(they were really stupid cops) but they got the guy out, and we went back to
the lady, and now she is willing to meet with us later. Cool right?
Remember number 1 crying lady? We went back to her, and we
found out her life is super hard right now, but the cool thing out of this is
by the time we had left, we had gotten her to stop crying, and to smile. Is
this because we gave her cookies? Nope. Through the gospel prayer, and the BOM,
we were able to comfort this poor woman. The gospel is so cool, and it can help
us with any problem. I know what I am doing is of God, and he truly does love
us.
