My last week was super eventful.
Remember my miracle last week? The lady that came to church with the members.
Well, she is continuing to surprise us. She somehow heard about institute, and
she decided she wanted to find out what she can learn from it, although she is
over aged (she didn't know this rule). No worries though, the members were
welcoming, and she learned a lot, in fact she ended up asking a ton of
questions at our next program, it was a little overwhelming, but super awesome.
I haven't had such an investigator like this, that really is searching. Also in
this program she gave the most heartfelt prayer I have ever heard. . . she works, and she
really searches the gospel, and reads from the bible, and now the BOM. She is
quite a miracle. To continue with her, she also came to two general conference
sessions. I am ready for all the questions. :)
More miracles. So we found two people in the phone that we had no idea who they
were. One of them we finally got a hold of, and we set a time to meet. It ended
up being in a place called Pétfüdö in the middle of no where. Here we met with
a lady named _____. We of course began with introductions, and how she found
the missionaries, the works. Turns out she met with missionaries last year, but
then went to England suddenly and the missionaries lost all contact with her.
As we continued with the meeting we found out she already has a testimony about
the BOM, Joseph Smith, and that this church is the church of Jesus Christ. So
we bap challenged her. She said she still needs a little time, but that she
would be baptized. We will decide on a date this week.
The other person was named _____. We had no idea who he was, but this last
week, he called us, and said he had time to meet. So we met. We asked him how
he met with the missionaries. He got a really confused look on his face, and said,
"I thought it was you two, and we met on the street just out here."
Turns out we had streeted this guy and got his number, and we totally forgot
about him. We apologized, and we ended up having an amazing program about the
Restoration. He really understood the Apostacy which is really good. That is a
hard one for people to grasp.
Another miracle. Remember how we knocked on a door a few weeks ago and a naked
lady answered the door. Of course she was hiding behind the door, but she was
naked. Well, we decided to go back this last week, because she said she would
like to meet later. We went back, she was dressed, and we got her number so we
can meet this week.
Another miracle, we invited nine investigators to conference, six of them
showed up.
Another miracle. Most of our outlets went out in our apartments for no reason,
so we called our Landlord, so he sent his parents last Thursday to check it
out. (his dad is an electrician) It took them three hours to not fix anything,
but meanwhile the Dad worked, we talked to the wife. We gave her a BOM, talked
about the WOW, and now she would like to meet so she can quit smoking, and
learn more about us.
This work is soooo cooool! miracles are happening, and we are being sooo
blessed. God is really helping me, and I really feel his love. I just hope and
pray he continues to bless me. I am working hard, and doing my best to try and
receive any blessing. Conference was amazing, it talked a ton about missionary
work. God needs his worked moved forward, and it is happening! Like you said,
we need to be participants, not just watchers.
