Everything is extravagant here.

anyám és családom

Wow, what a week you had. The temperatures just dropped and it is freezing. It is making finding a lot more difficult as people are inside now, and we are getting so cold so easily now. But we are out there. I did buy a coat today. It is pretty nice and a little expensive, but I think it will do me well. This will be an interesting winter for me.
Halloween isn't really celebrated here, but as Americans, within the wards and branches there are halloween parties that happened. I went to the Buda one last Saturday for about 40 minutes. It was fine. I just got to know some of the peeps, and then ate a bit of food. We did have an investigator there in whom we really came for. Her name is Rozália and she is now on bap date as of last Thursday. Once again I come somewhere just to finish someone off.

My new companion is Elder Burch. He is pretty cool, and willing to work. he was born in Utah, but he lived in Arizona before coming out here. He is a fun dude.
Buda is huge! I have never really been in a big city before, and well, I am totally cool with it. There's a lot of people, and a lot to do, which I am very grateful for. I was scared for the Winter because it is going to be a lot harder to stay out the whole day just to be in the cold to find the few stragglers that are also weirdly in the cold. Work is a blessing here in Hungary, and I am happy to be in a place were it will be a little easier to find it, but not much. Overall all though, I am really enjoying Buda. A lot of cool people here, and I like having a lot of other elders and sisters around to work with. It helps the days to be just a little more enjoyable.
I have met Sister Adams, and she wanted me to tell you that she sent me the message you asked her to tell me. I don' remember what it was, but I felt Mom's love.
The ward actually runs on itself, rather than me having to do everything. The area is busy, loud, big, like a city.
It is different from Eger because there is a lot more members, people to teach and to find, different types of work that is available. Here people like to table a lot. I don't enjoy it as much, but I do it because it actually works here. In Eger we tried doing it a couple times, and there just was not anybody that would actually walk by us. Other than that, I don't know how to explain the difference, other than if you were here with me walking the streets.
One blessing is I have like seven active investigators. A huge blessing it is.
I have not received your package and I am hoping it comes this week. Regarding mail, here it is a lot easier just to send it to the mission home. So no worries there.
My apartment is fairly nice, but dirty and cold. Dirty because previous elders haven't kept good care of it, hopefully I can change that. And cold because the heater has not been working lately. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon, but nights have been not the best :)

So for my week. It has been crazy, and I won't be able to tell you about it all here and now, but it was awesome. I'll just give you the highlights.

So last Tuesday was basically just a lot of programs and cleaning. Why a lot of cleaning? Well first off there were cleaning checks that day so we had to clean everything. Maintaining a clean environment is sometimes hard out here.Secondly I decided to vacuum behind this closet and when I moved it forward I found a ton of dust and a black spot on the wall. I thought it was also dust, so I tried to vacuum it. It was not dust, but mold. So we called our land lady, and she came and checked it, and in the end we ended up putting a hole in the wall. It was a mess. Don't worry I have pictures :) That nights was also pretty awesome. The Scott's took us all out to dinner, because we were all going to leave the next day. They took us to this place called Excalibur. It was totally medieval. It was good food, but it was mostly just fun because your food is served on swords and everything just looks medieval. More pictures exist of this as well.

Wednesday was transfers. Pretty boring as it was just traveling basically, and settling in. It was exciting because I was in Buda for good. We did do a couple of hours of tracting, with no success in the end, but it was a good way to start the area. With work!

These last few days have basically been normal work. It is crazy to be taking a subway everyday, and doing tabling on a bridge over the Duna in which you can see the magnificant parliment in the distance. everything is extravagant here, and it is way cool to be in the middle of it.

This last week we still did a ton of finding though, but no real success has come of it yet. We did street this one lady who was szuper rendes  in whom we have some hope for. Unfortunately the work is slowing down with the cold coming in. Last night we tracted/streeted for 2 1/2 hours with nothing going. It is alright though. To have true faith you must show it to God. You must prove to Him that you trust Him, and you'll do anything for him. Even though not as much is happening in regards to finding people. I know that God is there, and He is helping me and that I may just be in a period in my mission where I need to prove to Him that I will work, and not let him down. The best referrals are always God's referrals. No miracle happens until a trial of your faith. I love my God, I love this work, and I love you all. Keep me in your prayers this Winter.

PS. Just so you all know I am still normal, I am going to tell you a fact about my body. I now weigh 70.7kg. I will let you convert it, but this means I am getting taller, or fatter, or both. I do not know. :)
