Anyukám és családom,
This last week was one of the most successful weeks of my
mission. We got 5 new investigators! Super cool right? We have a couple that
are probably going to be legit. The rest we pray for. :) One weird one we found
was we knocked on the door, and this lady came out, and explained that she is
busy cooking, but she loves our church and she would like to talk, she gave us
her number, and she walked away without saying anything. I called her a couple
days later, and now she is an investigator. I have never had that experience on
my mission. Most of the time I just feel like I have to sit there and beg and
plead to get people to learn from me. It was kind of fun.
Funny story. We have a black crow that shows up randomly in
the area that we tract, and every time it comes something unlucky happens. It
is quite creepy. Well as I was at the gate trying to get in, all of a sudden I
hear this clacking noise by the big garbage cans that were behind us. I started
to turn around to investigate, but Elder Lynch said, "Don't turn around,
you will just get angry." I was confused, but in the reflection of the
window in front of us, I saw the bird! So I turned around, and got mad :) As I
was nervous wondering what the next unlucky thing would be, Elder Lynch went to
pick up the rock to throw at the bird. Well the rock he tried to pick up ended
up being fresh bird poop. It was sooo funny, and totally gross. The bird flew
away after that, and we knew we were ok.
Other funny thing happened while we were in a little falu
called Komlo. We meet with an inactive over there, and we meet at a little park
area. Well, on this day when we arrived we say the funniest old person ever. He
really fat, shirtless, shoeless, wearing a funny hat and shorts, all the while
he had his car doors open (that was near him) and was blasting modern pop
music. He was also dancing to it a little bit. It was super weird, but it gave
us a good laugh.
Other thing was I saw the biggest beetle ever. I will have
to try to get you pictures of it next week, but I thought these things only
existed in Africa. This beetle was one of those 3 inch things, that have
the huge pincers at its mouth. It was super cool, and I have cool pictures
majd.
Just so you all know I have cool plans for my birthday. I
will have 5 programs on that day, and I will get feed twice from those, so I
have getting taken care of.
