Baptism is not all I do here.

Anyukám és családom,

My new investigator has now run into his first obstacle. We will see if he has faith enough to get over, and to continue his investigation in Christ's church.

My new companion is pretty cool. He is really willing to work. That is always a welcoming trait. I still don't know a ton about him, but it seems we will enjoy our time with each other, and we will be having a lot of success.

Being District Leader is quite an adjustment. Giving training, and having responsibility over more missionaries is a challenge, but it has been quite rewarding. I have already learned a lot of how to improve myself. Having to be the example changes your outlook on things, and helps you to be more focused, and more goal driven. It is helping me a lot to find more desire to do the extra hour. Can't imagine what Christ's pressure was to be the savior and redeemer :)

We met a Persian this last week. Seriously, a Persian  He has been living here for around 7 years. He is a super funny guy, and showed some interest to learn from us. He speaks Hungarian well, but we communicate better in English. His first question after learning who we were was, "Are you guys from a different planet?" I thought it was funny.

I had a really neat experience this week. As I was tracting this week we tracted on an old couple's door. I just expected the same old, "we are Catholic, we are too old, my knee hurts, etc." But that didn't happen. After hearing the guy's whole speech on how the world is falling apart and there is no hope, I began to teach him a few truths, such as, "God loves us." He got a little interested in who we were after that. So we explained exactly who we were and what we were doing. They couldn't believe it that people like us live on the world. The guy began to compliment us in ways I have never heard. He began to say that we were spiritually giants in this world. That although we were only 20, we were 600 years old in wisdom. He then told us we had changed his life, and helped him to find happiness and hope in his life. He told me now that June 23rd is a new holiday. Of course the previous excuses were still in play, and so investigating the church wasn't super interesting to him. But I learned that baptism is not all I do here. I really am here just to spread the love of Christ among people that have none. I am here to invite people unto happiness, and peace, which of course is through our Savior Jesus Christ, which is through faith, repentance, baptism, gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the end. This gave renewed fire to just try and give something that will help somebody to come a little closer to Christ every day. I am happy to be here and serving the Hungarian people.

The heat really cooled off already this week. It is supposed to stay around 26 Celsius (78 F).  We are grateful for this. I sweated for a week straight last week :)

I hope you all have an enjoyable week!!!

sok szeretettel
