Smiley is not normal.

August 12, 2013

Anyukám és családom,

What a week you all had. I can't believe Zach's farewell is coming up. That is super fast.

My week was pretty awesome. I was a able to find quite a few people.

A few weeks ago I knocked on a guy's door as he was showering. I know this because he stuck his head out the window and it was covered in shampoo, and he told us to try later. So we did. Then he said he wasn't interested, but probably his wife was, and to come back in a week. So we did. His wife let us in, and sat us down with his daughter, and asked how she could help us. I told her to listen for 20 minutes, and then I taught the 1st lesson, I gave a BOM, and the daughter prayed. Family as investigators? YES!!!

Next stop another house we tracted. We rang, and old lady came out, she said no, so we moved on. The typical ya know? As we were talking to the next guy at the next house, a younger lady stuck her head out from the door we were just at and asked us, "Are you mormons?" I said yes, so the guy we were talking to went inside, but the lady told us to come in, so we did. There  we found out that she had a husband, and they had met with missionaries in England for a few months, and come here to Hungary to get married so they can get married. We also found out that because of life, they had gotten a little sidetracked from that goal. New investigators? Yep.

Next stop English Class. Some Young woman (found out later she was 27) came to English class. She was smilely (not normal here) and excited about things, and at the end of English class she looked at some of the pamphlets we have on display at a table. I was distracted because there were like five people (I will admit it. They were all girls) that wanted me to play the piano for them. So I did, but meanwhile I told my companion to go talk to her. That brave new missionary went and talked to her about the stuff, so once I finished showing off, I was able to come over and join the better thing of life, which is sharing the gospel. We ended up getting in a conversation with her for 2 hours about the gospel and everything, and at the end this strong catholic girl accepting the challenge to read the BOM and to pray about it. It was super cool to talk to someone that was so real, and honest about things. She will be a fun investigator to have.

Gyöngyi is still doing really well. She is progressing, and still making steps toward baptism. Keep on praying for her :)
