I am not in Utah

This week was the Hungarian celebration Szen István napja, so we didn't receive a letter until Wednesday. Justin likes to save the stories of injury and robbery for his siblings. He sent this to Tad.

Dear Tad,

I also have a good story. Believe or not typing is super hard right now. Yesterday we went with the Branch here and we did an outing out in the woods. It was super fun, and I did the most lame thing ever. I was trying to open a package of salami with a knife and I guessed wrong which side was the sharp side, so inside of cutting out away from my fingers it went in and I cut two of my fingers. One of them I got pretty bad. I bled everywhere! It was quite a cool cut. But no worries. Hungarian women are the best nurses ever. Imagine four women around one finger all giving advice and nursing me back to health. They cleaned it up well, bandaged me up, and gave me many tips of what to do with it. It was super cool of them, and they were really nice to me. They even gave me chocolate to eat. I really did have a wonderful day.

Családom és Anyukám,

It is really weird that Zach is in Mexico on a mission now. Here is how you should tell people that we are on missions, say, " Elder Decker Decker elder, are on missions." You will drive people crazy.

Last week we had a really funny day. We had to catch a bus at 7:30 to go to Dunaújváros for a zone training. So we walked and got to the bus at 7:15. A few minutes later my companion realized he didn't bring his passport. It is not required to carry it around, but he needed it because he was going to go to Budapest right after the training to get his residency permit. For that you need your passport. So with 12 minutes we ran almost a kilometer back home, got his passport and made it back in time to catch the bus drenched in sweat. Please take a moment and just imagine two elders in suits running like madmen through the streets of Europe. Funnier is as we were running back we ran into the other elders, I yelled at them and asked if they had their passport. They didn't as well, so they ran as well :)

I apologize I didn't tell this you last week. I totally spaced it, but yesterday was one of the biggest holidays in Hungary. It is called Szen István napja. It was really cool because we went into the mountains with all the members and played a ton of games. (I gave a good story about it to Tad) My favorite game was the plank walk, or the skiing walk. It is when there to boards that three people walk on together, and it is a race. I was with a 7 year old and a 10 year old. We destroyed! We were so fast, it was so much fun. There also was a scavenger hunt, and of course soccer. I am still not the best at it, but I had a lot of fun. Yesterday night we also went and checked out an outside folk dance concert. It is really good to see the Hungarians are keeping their culture strong. They were really good, and it was fun to stand under the huge cathedral and watch these people. it was a good feeling and a moment I could definitely say, "I am not in Utah".

I am loving life, but I can't believe that I only have 11 months left, soon it will be just 10. I feel like it is getting really fast, so I am doing my best to do all I can. Love you all
