Mother and family,
Thank
you for your kindness and prayers, they are helping a lot.
It
is true that the more Hungarian our District learns the worse our English gets.
We all have started pronouncing our "s" like "sh" and I
once spelt "leave" like "live" because the "i"
makes the same sound. Not good. It is a lot of fun learning this hard language
though.
. . .My companions will be excited for the short sleeves. I will appreciate them as well, but my companions dislike the heat of the long sleeve shirts. Your shirt sleeves have to match, so when I use up mine, we all have to wear long sleeves. I really do not mind it too much. I also got a package from Grandma and Grandpa Liddiard and the twins. A lot of snacks, and all of them very I am grateful for.
When
I heard the fireworks around it made me think of home and of Dad. I wondered
what kind of fireworks Dad got this year. It is good to hear Dad is still excited
about fireworks. How is Dad doing? The healing going alright?
I
have always known the powerful spirit Tad holds in that small body of his. He
is super caring to the people around him, and he has been an example to me more
than once. What is interesting is I learned about fasting just the other day as
well. Tell Zach good luck this year and to not die at Lake Powell. I just heard
of one of my friends that died this week, and that was kind of hard. Just be
careful, but have FUN.
. . . Life
is good.
I have seen Elder Madsen here. He looks very happy and ecstatic about the work.
This last week my companions and I gave three lessons
without memorizing any Hungarian lines before. I can speak Hungarian now. Not
fluent, and not well. I speak like a caveman in English terms, but the message
can get across and the spirit can teach far more than any of my words, so it
works. This last week the devotional speakers have been great but not the
environment. What I mean by this is that the building called 19M in which we
usually have devotionals has been closed because they are redoing the floors.
19M is also when the big basketball/volleyball/foursquare courts are. It is a
big gym. Anyway, it is closed and so they have had to cram the cafeteria (and
other rooms) with a 1000 Elders and Sisters with a result
of much discomfort of a sore neck and a sweaty body. It is so hot in there
with a bunch of men just radiating heat from their suits. Blah.
My favorite time teaching here has been during TRC. That is
the time when we get to teach people that are members that can speak Hungarian.
It is awesome to hear the insights of their knowledge of the gospel in
Hungarian. We practice so much in trying to teach people, it is enjoyable to be
taught.
Thank you for your hugs. You are a blessing to me. The day
before you sent me that line for the first time I had actually thought and
missed the power of my mother's hug. In fact I told my companions it. They
laughed at me. You know how it goes with me. Awkward as ever.

És most, amint a hitet illetően mondtam, a hit nem dolgok
törkéletes ismerete. Tehát nem hitet van, akkor olyan dolgokat remélten...
I have this scripture memorized in hungarian. This is not
perfect because I am rushed, but try to find out what it is.
