Pay your tithing, and you will be ok.

May 7, 2013

családom és anyukám,

First of all, I am sorry I forgot again to tell you this week is transfers and p.day is now on Tuesday. I am still not used to it, because p-day is usually on Monday.

Hey, before I start anything, I will talk about mother's day. I am totally planning on calling you, I just really don't know anything that is going on right now with that. Why? This week is not only mother's day, but also transfers. (I am getting transfered) I couldn't tell you when I would call you until I knew if I was leaving or not today. So I am leaving tomorrow to serve in Pécs. It is supposed to be the prettiest place in the mission, so I am pretty stoked, plus I will be serving with a missionary that I really like, named elder Lynch, and I am going senior. It will be quite a change. Anyway, I called them up and they haven't planned anything about calling, so I am getting them to plan it out today so that hopefully later today I will email again to you, to tell you when and what we will be doing. From what I heard we will be able to skype, so we will see. I guess just wait for my next email.

Your favorite hungarian missionary is doing really well. we have had a blast together, and I will miss serving with hm.

We do have bikes, and we did ride them, and they are pieces of junk, and it is pretty hilly here... You know how Matt always got his random fun, possibly effective and good ideas, that seem a little far fetched, but they usually worked out, and he was really cool for it?

Elder Ábrók is like that. He has always wanted to try out the scooter thing, because it is fast, and you can still use the bus, and so forth. So we are using scooters.

I can't believe all these young people are going on missions. Our first group of really young people will be by next fall. It will be so weird being 2 years older than all of them. I will be super old compared to most of the mission by the time I go home.

Alright some cool things happened.

First thing... WE FOUND A FAMILY!!!

We tracted into this super kind, super awesome woman this last week.

We taught her a super good lesson, and then we told her she needed to pray about it. So when we met yesterday, she had prayed!! And she got a really concrete answer. She said she was completely at peace for two days, so said her husband noticed the change, and now her husband wants to meet with us. She has a kid, and she is an English teacher, and I won't be able to continue to teach to them. Not cool. Oh well.

But I have now found a family in my mission.

Taught the black guy again!!! He is also super cool. We got him to realize the importance of Christ's church, and he is really loving it.

He is fun to talk to and a very spiritual person, and I am pretty sure he will get baptized. I don't know if he will be baptized here in Hungary, but when he goes back to Nigeria, I believe he will.

This last week was Stake conference. I only mention this because of what they talked about a ton. They talked a ton about the importance of family, and how money is not important. Weird right? Hungary is in a pretty bad economic stance right now, and people are going crazy trying to get work, and trying to get money. We ask this question a lot from people, "Mi okoz neked boldogságot az életben?" What causes you to be happy in life?  A lot of people answer, "money". So the stake really attacked that this last weekend, about realizing what is the priority. They also slipped tithing into there as well. Overall, I think this is so true, people are so worried about getting gain, and getting stuff, they forget their families, and God. Pay your tithing, and you will be ok, Trust In God.

I will miss Veszprém. I have learned a ton here, and I have put a ton of work into it. It will be nice to restart and learn to love new people. my work is going really well, and I am loving my time here in Hungary a ton. God helps me every day by giving me comfort and strength for every new day. I really hope you all have a nice week.

Hopefully I will see you all this week end.

sok szeretettel

Decker elder
