Anyám és csaladom,
Köszönöm a csomagért ujra. Nagyon szeretem
Sounds like Colorado ended up being a success for you
mother. I am glad you were able to have that comforting experience at the
temple. Today I did sealings at the temple. While I was being a witness I
prayed I would have a Hungarian person to help pronounce their name. As the
last name came around, lo and behold it was a Hungarian. The Sealer had a hard
time with it, but I did my best to help him. Those names are hard to pronounce.
Not for me anymore though.
To Trevor,
I have now had four people from my work and Laura tell me
about your life. I would like to know that you are staying and Grandmas and
other things. How do you like working at the Creamery? Tell me what you are
doing in life.
To Brenna,
I was so excited about that video. I really hope your
birthday was amazing. Make sure you get that played at every birthday!
To Tad and Zach,
I would also like to know what is going on with you two.
Dad,
Mom does a really good job explaining everything you do. . .
Now about me,
I forgot to tell you about this in the last few weeks, but I
got really excited about it. Two weeks ago as I was reading out of my Hungarian
scriptures I all of a sudden stopped and though about what I was reading and
realized I understood it! It was in 1st Nephi 4 or 5 about getting the plates
from Lábán. I actually con understand things from the scriptures now and it is
really exciting. Also you know how we sometimes say Nephi as "Nefi."
That's how you say it in Hungarian. Also Trevor's way of saying "hi"
is how you say "hair" in Hungarian.
Last week was probably the hardest here, but God came through as He always does and blessed me and my companions greatly, and this week has been absolutly wonderful. It has been a lot of fun teaching and helping our kicsik. We watched their first lesson in Hungarian. It brought back wonderfully-terrible memories. It was really funny the things they said. Like during prayers they said, "köszönünk minket" (Thank you for us, basically) . . .
Today I was able to practice a lot of piano. I am
accompaning the sisters from my district and Motra Hoover for a song they are
singing called "The Olive Tree." We are going to try to play it
during a devotional.
This week I have been discouraged that most missionaries really aren't that dedicated to the work. They are still too worried about themselves. I suppose from this what I have really realized since being here is that I am nothing. Last Saturday I found this out for myself during our companionship inventory. I have been too worried about how well I am doing, and how I can feel the spirit, and so can my companions. That is wrong. Every person needs to realize they can't make it through life by themselves, it is impossible. As I am helping the people of Hungary with, I need to learn to lean on Christ. He can make us more than nothing, we can become Gods and Godesses through him.
Sorry about any bad grammer. For some reason I have been really struggling with my English. The more Hungarian I learn the worse my English is getting. I may or may not say some dumb things because of it which causes some great laughs. I am happy to help people to smile.
szeretettel
