csaladom és anyám,
I cannot believe how much God is blessing me
and you. Life is just about perfect right now. I could not be on the
most spiritual high than I am now, here at the MTC. . .Will you please read Jacob 4:6 for me?
Believe in God and Jesus Christ and know they can help you in anything you
ask them for. I believe and know this with all my heart. He has helped me here
with: destroying my pride, knowing how to repent, with learning a new language,
with knowing how to teach and understand my investigators better, studying
better, recognizing the spirit and answers better, and the list could go on.
Just pray and study the Book of Mormon and you will find out for yourself.
Mom, THANK YOU FOR THE COOKIES! They were finom. I have
only gained four pounds being here, and two of them were from the last
week, probably your cookies. It was definitely worth it. Thank
you for all your thoughts and kindness and love. I love getting the scoop about
what my family is doing every week. I appreciate the time you take to
write me.
Dad, I am very glad God is blessing your
health yet again. Thank you for your thoughts. These last couple
weeks I have been applying many things that you have taught me in
my mission work and I thank you for your wonderful example
Guess this scripture
"Beszél tehát a dolgokról ahogy azok valójában lesznek,
ezen dolgokat tehát világosan nyilvánÍtják ki nekünk..."
I can't wait to call you before I leave and speak the
language at you. It is so cool. . .
A couple of things I have learned this week:
1. Like it says in Mosiah 4, we are beggars for our
salvation, and somewhere in Alma we are like dust... I found out I am a very
prideful person. I like to put my trust in my own arm rather than in the Lords,
or my companions. I have been working on that a lot in this last week and God
has been humbling me in many ways. I am very grateful that he would do that for
me. Because of becoming humbled, my teaching has become much better, and I feel
that spirit a lot better now.
2. Every single scripture is meant for you and I. Many times
when we read a scripture that says "repent, or be damned", or
"become as a little child", or "be baptized", we over look
it and don't apply it. One of my teachers, Erikkson testvér, pointed this out
to me in one of our discussions. The scriptures are expected to be read by
people already in the church. Those scriptures aren't necessarily for those not
of our church, or don't know the gospel. I challenge you all that the next time
you read a verse and just kind of skip over it, or don't apply it. Stop
yourself and reread it until you get something out of it. It will change your
life, and the way you read the scriptures.
Yesterday we did our first full day of csak magyarul! (just
Hungarian) It was a lot of fun, and I surprised myself of how much I knew. We
are preparing for next week of our consencration week. It starts next
Wednesday. It's going to be good.
Yesterday was also awesome because we got our first Apostle to
come speak at a fireside. It was Elder Neil A. Andersen. I will have to tell
more about it later. I am almost out of time.
